"Well that's something new...hey, come look at this." a feminine voice said. She smiled, and lifted up the monument with both hands. Because it was made out of stone, it was rather heavy. "Huh? I said come look at this. D, are you even listening?" she questioned while turning around to face the young man. D was leaning against the wall, not having a care in the world.
"Not interested, now put that back." he replied in a harsh tone, while messing with his finger nails. He was looking down at the ground, trying to ignore the girl.
"But D, it has your initials on it! Look, DMI! D-Magic Ixion." she pointed at the bottom of the monument, and it did, in fact, have his initials carved onto it.
He perked up and decided to look, rather curious as of why they were on there in the first place. He wasn't even the one who had carved them on there, not did he understand what it was trying to say.
"Put it back, we have no use for it." he sighed after hearing his partner complain continuously.
"Aww, fine D, but you'll be sorry." she said and put it back to where it belonged, but it immediately slid off. "Ah! I thought I put it on right," she frowned and picked the monument back up, only to try again. She watched it carefully, but after a few minutes it slid off once more. This time a few other rocks slid off with it. She stepped back and noticed that D looked annoyed at this.
"What are you doing? Let me try," he picked up the monument easily, and put it back to where it belongs. Suddenly, a flash of light came from behind the monument as soon as D turned back around. D didn't seem to notice, but he wondered why the girl looked shocked.
"It wasn't that hard- but what's the matter?" he asked, and turned around. The blue light zapped, making a flash. Out of nowhere, D was gone. Vanished. The words were missing some, too. Now, they were changed around.
